Academic Achievement
and Excellence
School of the Arts
is a unique four-year public high school as committed to achievement
in academics as it is to the arts. SOTA provides students with a variety
of educational opportunities to meet and exceed all San Francisco Unified
School District and State of California requirements for graduation
as well as University of California college entrance requirements.
Students may take
advantage of honors, Advanced Placement, and other advanced courses
in all academic departments. Additionally, a dedicated staff and faculty
continually strive to provide students with the ability to undertake
sustained, interdisciplinary projects and make powerful connections
between their artistic and academic endeavors.
SOTA graduates have
created an outstanding record of achievement on the high school level.
SOTA's standardized test scores consistently rank within the top high
schools in the District. Moreover, SOTA graduates have been welcomed
by many top public and private colleges and universities as well as
outstanding conservatories and art institutes across the nation.
